Hi Gin,

Last week was International Coaching Week and it has me feeling reflective.

Not just because it celebrates the profession of coaching, but because it celebrates something deeper: the power of human connection, collaboration, curiosity, and possibility.

At its best, coaching creates space for people to pause long enough to hear themselves again. To reconnect with what matters. To move from survival and reaction into clarity, choice, and intentional action.

Over the years, I’ve come to realize that coaching is not simply something I do professionally. It has become a mindset that shapes how I live.

Having a coaching mindset has changed my relationships because I listen differently now. I’m less focused on fixing, proving, or controlling outcomes, and more focused on understanding, presence, and connection.

It has changed my personal life because I’ve learned to approach challenges with curiosity instead of judgment. I’ve learned to notice the stories I tell myself, regulate stress more intentionally, and create space for possibility even during uncertainty.

And it has changed my career because I no longer believe leadership is about having all the answers. The most impactful leaders I know create environments where people feel seen, trusted, empowered, and capable of growth.

That is the beauty of coaching collaboration.

Great coaching is never about one person “having wisdom” for another person. It is about creating a partnership steeped in possibility — where people can think more clearly, reconnect with themselves, and discover what is already waiting beneath the noise.

I’ve witnessed individuals transform how they lead, communicate, navigate stress, and relate to others simply because someone held space for them differently.

And the ripple effect is real.

When individuals adopt a coaching mindset, relationships change.
When leaders adopt a coaching mindset, teams change.
When organizations adopt a coaching mindset, cultures change.

People begin listening more deeply.
Communicating more honestly.
Collaborating more effectively.
Leading with greater humanity and resilience.

This week, as we celebrate International Coaching Week, I find myself deeply grateful — for the clients, colleagues, and conversations that continue to remind me what becomes possible when people feel supported, challenged, and truly heard.

So I’ll leave you with this question:

What is possible in your life, relationships, and career when you adopt a coaching mindset?

And perhaps just as importantly…

What becomes possible in your workplace culture when people lead, communicate, and collaborate through a coaching mindset?
